The alphabets “EY” sounds just like “surprise” in Chinese. The designers hope the products that they designed can bring the costumers a feeling of "surprise". Such surprise is pleasant and beautiful, reasonable instead of being nonsense. People will feel its unexpectedness, but reasonable at the same time. As surprise is something unknown to people, hence people are keen to find such unknown matters in their life. The designers from “EY-Products” believe that with their wonderful concept and carefully designed details, people will definitely have their sincere feeling from the heart, "wow! it can be done like this!”
Ebony is considered a very rare and high-end wood on the commercial timber market, often used in the manufacture of musical instruments and fine furniture.
On a factory visit we noticed piles of wood scraps unused and deserted.
Upon second look of them, the black and yellow, the irregular shape of each scrap resemble traditional Chinese ink-and-wash paintings. So we decided to save them by transforming them into unique piece of art.
In an age when new things are easily accessible and old ones are deserted too easily, our connection with each object is getting loose and weak. Gratification comes and goes too fast. Just a fad.
In timeless collection, we crafted a range of products that after a duration of time and usage, you will feel the connection, just like an old friend.
It seems a fate when things get old and inevitably it got abandoned. However we think the best accompany in life is get through and get old together. Walk with time to create a true unique piece of your own.
Thus we choose solid wood, brass and genuine leather to craft this collection. They are unique materials that will oxidize and change during the passage of time.
